RECOMMENDATION
recommendation
Accept the improvements for the Washington Avenue and Weeping Willow Lane Traffic Signal Installation project, Capital Improvement Project (CIP) No. 8438, as complete;
Direct the City Clerk to record a Notice of Completion and release bonds in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances; and
Release any remaining retention from the CIP 8438 in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances.

PRIOR ACTION/VOTE
On August 15, 2023, the City Council conducted a public hearing and adopted Resolution No. 23-4699, approving Fiscal Year 2023/24 to Fiscal Year 2027/28 Capital Improvement Plan budget, which included the Priority Traffic Signals Project, CIP No. 8438 (Vote: 5-0).
On November 21, 2023, the City Council awarded the contract for the construction of the traffic signal installation at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Weeping Willow Lane to the lowest responsible bidder, DBX, Inc. in the amount of $583,304 as part of the Priority Traffic Signals Project, CIP No. 8438 (Vote: 5-0).
On June 4, 2024, the City Council conducted a Public Hearing and adopted Resolution No. 24-4745, approving Fiscal Year 2024/25 to Fiscal Year 2028/29 Capital Improvement Plan budget, which included the Priority Traffic Signals Project, CIP No. 8438 (Vote: 5-0).
