RECOMMENDATION
recommendation
Accept the Public Improvements in Parcel Map 37442 located east of Antelope Road, south of Baxter Road; and

Direct the Department of Public Works to perform continued maintenance on the aforementioned public improvements in conformity with the City of Murrieta's maintenance standard.

BACKGROUND
On December 27, 2019, the City of Murrieta entered into an agreement with Makena Murrieta, LLC, for them to construct certain public improvements within Parcel Map (PM) 37442. PM 37442 is a subdivision of 5.68 acres with a development plan to construct a 60,600 square foot medical office building, located east of Antelope Road, south of Baxter Road.

The public improvements, which included street paving, curb and gutter, sidewalk, drive approaches, and a storm drain system within PM 37442, have now been completed. The improvements were inspected by qualified City personnel within the Department of Public Works under the direction of the City Engineer who has determined that the public improvements are satisfactory and have been completed in compliance with applicable City standards and regulations.

The City Council has determined that it is in the City's best interest to maintain such public improvements through regular upkeep to ensure conformity with City maintenance standards. Therefore, the Department of Public Works will provide continued maintenance of the aforementioned public improvements.

FISCAL IMPACT
The City will be responsible for ongoing maintenance of the public improvements. The annual cost to maintain these improvements will be covered in the Public Works Maintenance biennia...
