recommendation
Accept the Public Improvements in Tract Map 30953 located south of Magnolia Street on the east side of Washington Avenue; and
Direct the Public Works Department to perform continued maintenance on the aforementioned public improvements in conformity with the City of Murrieta's maintenance standard.

CITY COUNCIL GOAL

BACKGROUND
On February 11, 2019, the City of Murrieta (City) entered into an agreement with Lennar Homes of California, Inc., for Lennar Homes of California, Inc. to construct certain public improvements within Tract Map (TR) 30953. TR 30953 is a subdivision of 8.7 acres, with a development plan to construct 134 multi-family units with associated onsite parking, landscaping, and amenities located south of Magnolia Street on the east side of Washington Avenue.
The public improvements, which included street paving, curb and gutter, sidewalk, drive approaches, and a storm drain system within TR 30953, have now been completed. The improvements were inspected by qualified City personnel within the Public Works Department under the direction of the City Engineer who has determined that the public improvements are satisfactory and have been completed in compliance with applicable City standards and regulations.
The City Council has determined that it is in the City's best interest to maintain the public improvements through regular upkeep in conformity with City maintenance standards. Therefore, the Department of Public Works will provide continued maintenance of the aforementioned public improvements.
