ABSTRACT
Adoption of this resolution approving a Program Supplement Agreement with Caltrans will enable the In-Pavement LED Lighted Crosswalk Project, CIP No. 13034, to be advertised for construction and eligible for reimbursement of approximately $250,000 in construction costs through an approved Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grant. The overall project consists of installing in-pavement LED lights and pedestrian push buttons at five uncontrolled mid-block crosswalks near four school sites.

PRIOR ACTION/VOTE
On December 4, 2018, the City Council adopted Resolution 18-4011, authorizing the Mayor to sign the Master Agreement 08-5464F15 between the City of Murrieta and Caltrans (Vote: 3-0, 2 absent).
On May 7, 2019, the City Council adopted Resolution 19-4071, accepting the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Cycle 9 Funding Grant in the amount of $247,435, for the In-Pavement LED Lighted Crosswalk project, CIP No. 13034 (Vote: 5-0).
