BACKGROUND

On July 3, 2018, the City entered into an agreement for Muhlhauser Enterprises LLC to construct certain public improvements within Parcel Map (PM) 37267. PM 37267 is a two-parcel subdivision of 8.6 acres consisting of a 3.9-acre parcel for a 39,000-square-foot industrial building and outdoor storage yard and a 4.08-acre remainder parcel located at 25747 Jefferson Avenue.

The public improvements, which included street paving, curb and gutter, sidewalk, drive approaches, and a storm drain system within PM 37267 and along Adams Avenue, have now been completed. Qualified city personnel within the Department of Public Works inspected the improvements under the direction of the City Engineer, who has determined that they are satisfactory and have been completed in compliance with applicable City standards and regulations.

The City Council has determined that it is in the City’s best interest to maintain the public improvements through regular upkeep in conformance with City maintenance standards. Therefore, the Department of Public Works will continue to maintain public improvements.

FISCAL IMPACT

The City will be responsible for maintaining the public improvements on an ongoing basis. The annual cost is covered in the Public Works Maintenance Operating Budget.
