Approve a Reimbursement Agreement with Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) and accept funding in the amount of $62,700 for adjustment of EMWD facilities as part of the Murrieta Hot Springs Road Pavement Rehabilitation Project, (CIP) Capital Improvement Plan No. 13047;

Amend the Fiscal Year 2024/25 CIP Budget to establish an additional appropriation in CIP No. 13047 for $62,700; and

Authorize the City Manager to execute the Reimbursement Agreement.

PRIOR ACTION/VOTE
On June 4, 2024, the City Council approved Resolution No. 24-4745, approving the Capital Improvement Plan Budget for Fiscal Year 2024/25, and the Fiscal Years 2024/25 to 2028/29 Capital Improvement Plan, which included the Murrieta Hot Springs Road Pavement Rehabilitation Project, CIP No. 13047 (Vote 5-0).

On September 3, 2024, the City Council approved the Construction Contract Award for the Murrieta Hot Springs Road Pavement Rehabilitation Project, CIP No. 13047, to Onyx Paving Company Inc (Vote 5-0).

BACKGROUND
The Murrieta Hot Springs Road Pavement Rehabilitation Project, CIP No. 13047, will rehabilitate the pavement on Murrieta Hot Springs Road from Whitewood Road to Margarita Road. As part of the pavement rehabilitation process, Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) manholes and valve cans need to be adjusted to be even with the new roadway surface.
