At the July 7, 2026, City Council meeting, Council Member Stone requested to bring back an item for City Council discussion regarding a proposed "Stuff the Bus" program.

At the July 7, 2026 City Council meeting, during Requests to Add or Withdraw Items to Future Agendas, Council Member Stone requested to bring back an item for City Council discussion regarding a proposed "Stuff the Bus" program (Consensus received).

DISCUSSION
At the July 7, 2026, City Council meeting, Council Member Stone requested to bring back an item for City Council discussion regarding a proposed "Stuff the Bus" program. Council Member Stone has been coordinating with Murrieta Valley Unified School District (MVUSD) and the Salvation Army about this project, which is intended to collect toys this fall for distribution to families in need via the Salvation Army. MVUSD will lend a bus for this purpose. Various community locations will be identified as donation collection facilities where toys can be delivered. The proposed role of the City will be to help publicize the program and donation locations, as well as to have a donation collection facility at City Hall and potentially other City facilities.
