Receive and file this report providing an update on the status of City Council priority projects since the priorities were last reviewed and confirmed at the City Council Workshop on February 10, 2025.

PRIOR ACTION/VOTE
On February 10, 2025, the City Council held a workshop to review the City's top priorities through a tiered system (Non-action item).

On July 31, 2024, the City Council held a workshop to establish a tiered list of the City's projects based on factors such as priority and funding availability (Non-action item).

Maintain a high performing organization that values fiscal sustainability, transparency, accountability and organizational efficiency.

DISCUSSION
On February 10, 2025, the City Council held a workshop to conduct a comprehensive review of the City of Murrieta's (City) top priorities, organized through a three-tiered system. This tiered framework was first established during a previous workshop in July 2024. At the February session, the City Council reviewed the status of each project, reassessed their prioritization, and, by consensus, confirmed or adjusted the level of priority as needed. Several new projects were also added to the list. The purpose of this prioritization process is to ensure the City is effectively addressing community needs and enhancing services that are vital to the community's growth and well-being. The resulting list provides strategic direction to staff on where to focus time and resources, while also offering transparency to community stakeholders about the City's key initiatives.
