PRIOR ACTION/VOTE
On June 20, 2023, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 23-4674, approving a Tentative Agreement for a Successor Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Murrieta and the Murrieta Police Management Association for the period July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2026 (Vote: 4-0-1).

DISCUSSION
Most employees of the City of Murrieta (City) are represented by employee organizations and governed by a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City and their representative employee organization setting forth compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment for those represented employees. Through collective bargaining, the City regularly and routinely negotiates with the respective employee organizations to update those terms and conditions. All such items must be voted on and passed by a majority of the membership of each affected employee organization, known as ratification, and subsequently approved by the City Council before becoming effective.
