RECOMMENDATION
recommendation
Approve the agreements with G/M Business Interiors in the amount of $100,848.96 and Briggs Datacom in the amount of $14,240 for the remodeling of the Traffic Bureau at the Murrieta Police Department;

Authorize City Manager or his designee to approve contract change orders and all related documents up to an additional 15% contingency, if needed for each agreement;

Authorize the City Manager to execute the agreements and related documents; and

Amend the Fiscal Year 2024/25 Operating and Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) budget.

PRIOR ACTION/VOTE
On June 4, 2024, the City Council adopted Joint Resolution No. 24-4745, approving the Fiscal Year 2024/25 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) budget and approving the Fiscal Years 2024/25 to 2028/29 Capital Improvement Plan that included the Murrieta Police Department Traffic Bureau Remodel CIP No 21036 (Vote: 5-0).

On March 18, 2025, the City Council approved a Notice of Completion for Murrieta Police Department Exterior Painting Project CIP No 21016 and authorized the transfer of $109,725 in savings to the Traffic Bureau Remodel CIP No 21036.

On April 15, 2025, the City Council approved a Notice of Completion for Murrieta Police Department Locker Room Remodel CIP No 21041 and authorized the transfer of $33,213.23 in savings to the Traffic Bureau Remodel CIP No 21036.
