RECOMMENDATION

Approve a five-year agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc., in the amount not to exceed $1,222,876.30 for the purchase and replacement of critical police radios; and
Authorize the Mayor to execute the agreement.

PRIOR ACTION/VOTE
On March 3, 2015, the City Council adopted Resolution 15-3351, amending the Fiscal Year 2014-2019 Capital Improvement Plan to close the Police Station-Phase II project (#08092), and appropriating $916,120 in Law Enforcement Development Impact Fees and $321,880 in Federal Asset Forfeiture funds to establish a new project to purchase equipment and make improvements to the Public Safety Enterprise Communication (PSEC) radio system (Vote 5-0)1.
On June 2, 2015, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 15-3378, authorizing the City Manager to purchase additional handheld radios required for the Phase I transition to the Public Safety Enterprise Communication (PSEC) radio system and amending the 2014/15 operating budget authorizing $174,604 to be charged to the Federal Asset Forfeiture fund (Vote 4-0-1)2.
On December 15, 2015, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 15-3482, authorizing the City Manager to revise a Letter of Agreement with Riverside County Information Technology (RCIT) for the scope of services and the purchase of radio equipment and installation services with Motorola Solutions Inc (Vote 4-0-1)3.
