RECOMMENDATION
recommendation
Accept the Public Improvements in Parcel Map 37612 located south of Murrieta Hot Springs Road and west of Delhaven Street; and

Direct the Public Works Department to perform continued maintenance on the aforementioned public improvements in conformity with the City of Murrieta's maintenance standard.

BACKGROUND
On March 28, 2022, the City of Murrieta (City) entered into an agreement with MHS Retail, LLC. to construct certain public improvements within Parcel Map (PM) 37612. PM 37612 is a 2.47-acre site with a development plan to construct a convenience store with a 12-pump fuel station, a self-service car wash, and on-site parking and landscaping located south of Murrieta Hot Springs Road and west of Delhaven Street.
The public improvements within PM 37612, which included street paving, curb and gutter, sidewalk, drive approaches, and a storm drain system, have now been completed. The improvements were inspected by qualified City personnel within the Department of Public Works under the direction of the City Engineer who has determined that the public improvements are satisfactory and have been completed in compliance with applicable City standards and regulations.
The City Council has determined that it is in the City's best interest to maintain the public improvements through regular upkeep in conformance with City maintenance standards. Therefore, the Public Works will provide continued maintenance of the aforementioned public improvements.
