Authorize the City Manager to amend the Fiscal Year 2024/25 Operating Budget.

BACKGROUND
In July 2024, the Murrieta Public Library (Library) received $46,000 from the Friends of the Murrieta Library (Friends) based on a request for funding to assist with the cost of Collection Development, which includes museum passes, electronic resources, and supplies for programs (Attachment 1).
The funding request also included $12,000 for performers/presenters for the Library’s enrichment programs, to be paid directly via checks from the Friends to various performers/presenters throughout the fiscal year. It was later determined that having the Friends donate the $12,000 directly to the Murrieta Public Library was more efficient, so a second request was submitted to the Friends for performers (Attachment 2).
The total donation amount from the Friends this Fiscal Year is $58,000. The adopted budget was established at $38,000. Therefore, the Operating Budget needs to be increased by $20,000 to match the actual donation amount.
FISCAL IMPACT
Upon acceptance of the Friends’ donation, the City Manager will be authorized to amend the Fiscal Year 2024/25 Operating Budget to increase the Revenue budget under account 3110050-47701 by $20,000 to $58,000 and increase the expenditure appropriation under account 3115900-62920 by $25,000, account 3115900-63360 by $3,000, and account 3115900-60480 by $12,000.
