PRIOR ACTION/VOTE
On July 24, 2024, the Planning Commission continued this project at the Applicant's request to August 14, 2024 (Vote: 4-0). On August 14, 2024, the Planning Commission continued this project at the Applicant's request to September 11, 2024 (Vote: 4-0).
BACKGROUND
On July 24, 2024, staff presented a proposed project of a Development Plan and Conditional Use Permit to construct and operate a 4,995-square-foot auto and tire repair shop with a mezzanine and six service bays. The project additionally provides associated parking, landscaping, and a trash enclosure on a 0.68-net acre site. Prior to the July 24 Planning Commission Hearing a comment letter from a representative of a neighboring property requesting a continuance in order to have time to review the project proposal, was received by the City. That letter was made available to the Planning Commission and the public at the hearing. During the public hearing, the applicant addressed the Planning Commission and concurred with the request to continue the project to a date certain of August 14, 2024, the next available Planning Commission hearing. On August 14, 2024, at the Planning Commission hearing, the applicant addressed the Planning Commission again and requested to continue the project to a date certain of September 11, 2024, for a Planning Commission Hearing. The original Staff Report for reference is included as Attachment No. 3 of this report. All other attachments are included with this updated staff report. No other letters or correspondence regarding this project have been received from the public as of the drafting of this report. Staff continues to propose the same recommendation to determine that the project is exempt from CEQA and approve the project as previously presented at the July 24 Planning Commission Hearing.
NOTICING
The project was noticed in compliance with Chapter 16.76 of the Development Code. The City re-posted a sign on the property, and previously mailed notices to property owners within a 300-foot radius, and previously advertised in the newspaper at least 10 days before the hearing.
