BACKGROUND
The City has received a request from a resident to install bike lanes on Adams Avenue between Magnolia Street and Valor drive, to provide designated lanes for bicyclists.

City staff presented this item at the April 7, 2024 Traffic Commission meeting, with the recommendation to install bicycle lanes on Adams Avenue, between Magnolia Street and Valor Drive. After public comments, it was moved by the Commission to postpone the item until the next Traffic Commission meeting.

Adams Avenue at its intersection with Magnolia Street and Valor Drive is controlled by all-way stops. This portion of Adams Avenue is built to its two-lane collector classification per the City's General Plan Circulation Element, consisting of one travel lane in each direction. Northbound Direction:
* 11' travel lane
* 2' buffer
* 5' bike lane
* 8' parking

South...
